Employment Opportunities
To be considered for a Certified Position with Franklin County Schools, you must have the following:
- At least a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university;
- A valid Tennessee teaching license for the level and/or subject area that you are to teach, or be eligible to readily obtain a Practitioner's License; and
- A completed Franklin County Schools Certified Application.
To be considered for a CTE Position with Franklin County Schools:
Applicants must also have (or be in the process of obtaining) the required teaching license with the applicable endorsement. Very specific work experience requirements and educational options are required.
The applicant must be recommended for the needed endorsement by a state university. Specific questions in this regard should be forwarded to the Supervisor -Secondary Education and Career and Technical Enhancement.
To be considered for a Classified Position with Franklin County Schools:
Applicants must have a minimum of a High School Diploma/GED. Educational Assistants must establish the fact that they are "Highly Qualified" by meeting one of the following criteria:
- Have at least an Associate's Degree;
- The equivalence thereof (at least forty-eight (48) semester hours from an accredited college/university), or
- Pass the ParaPro Assessment.
