The entire Franklin County School District wishes to convey our sincere condolences to the Tucker Family.  Mrs. Kim Tucker passed away this morning.  Mrs. Tucker previously served as the principal at Sewanee Elementary and as the Elementary Curriculum and Instruction Supervisor. While serving in the district, Mrs. Tucker was a professional pioneer who believed in the value of public education.  Her sweet smile, positive words of encouragement, and leadership were key attributes of her professional conduct each day.  We will continue to be reminded of her great work and contribution to the Franklin County School District.  Mrs. Tucker leaves a legacy of commitment to public education.

Franklin County Schools announces Sharon Saylor as the new principal of Clark Memorial Elementary School for the 2025-2026 school year!

Mrs. Sharon Saylor has been named as the new principal at Clark Memorial. She currently serves as a 7th/8th Social Studies teacher at South Middle School. Mrs. Saylor has been an educator for 20 years and her leadership, professionalism, and commitment to education and the Franklin County School System will support her ability to lead Clark Memorial to a level of excellence. Interesting to know, she attended Clark Memorial herself as a child.
